Hello world! - not just a greeting but also a common phrase, used for screen display by developers when learning a programming language.
My name is Patrick, and I'm one of the Managing Directors of Totally Nerdy Ltd. I've been working with web technologies for many years, and still remember the sound of my modem connecting to the internet, when uploading new pages to my first website.
The possibilities in the web nowadays are endless! Without proper guidance someone can get lost very easily.
That's the reason why Totally Nerdy Ltd exists: we offer this very guidance. Whether you're looking for a personal or professional website or have business cases you'd like to support with a web application, just like Ecommerce.
This hopefully gives a bit insight into what we do at Totally Nerdy Ltd.
The purpose of this blog
Now, let's talk about this blog.
The web is full of information, and that's great. Especially sites like wikipedia are a blessing for someone who's looking for a particular kind of information. But sometimes you need to crawl through all those websites to just find the simple explanation you were looking for.
One of the reasons might be that there are certain criteria a webpage needs to fulfill in order to be found on Google or any other search engine. One of those criteria for example is the length of the content, the character count.
This leads to bloated paragraphs of texts just so the author reaches the count needed to boost the content. I've been there, and I don't like it. Content creation via AI like ChatGPT certainly doesn't make things better in that regard.
This blog therefore aims for a TL;DR approach. TL;DR stands for "too long; didn't read" and generally introduces summaries of content.
We write about everything in the shortest and clearest way you can find. Let yourself be enlightened by our content, and if there's anything you'd like to know more about, just get in touch.
Thank you very much.
